Ra Sha ๐„ž Records Hosts Open Call for Global Concert Performers

WEST DES MOINES, December 15, 2020 โ€” African American Women and Veteran Owned label, Ra Sha ๐„ž Records (RS๐„žR) is hosting open calls for its Operation Homefront Global Concert.

The concert aims to unite military families with deployed members by providing group entertainment in a safe internet space. A free version of the concert will be streamed via Facebook and YouTube on May 22, 2021, featuring messages from soldiers to their families and vice versa, mingled with live and recorded performances by volunteer artists and bands from around the world.

Virtual auditions are now being accepted online at https://rasharecords.com/open-calls/ in a global talent search. The deadline for audition submissions is February 15, 2021.

A VIP after-party fundraiser following the concert will feature additional performers and a CD release party including artists with new music. For every VIP ticket and music merchandise sold including apparel and music downloads, 50% of profits will be divided among the following charities:

  • Operation Homefront. The mission of Operation Homefront is to build strong, stable, and secure military families so they can thrive in the communities that they have worked so hard to protect.

    Ra Sha Records Director of Operations, Shenica R. Graham said, โ€œServing the troops is not just good karma. Itโ€™s personal.โ€ Ra Sha Recordsโ€™ President is African American, US Army Veteran, Mrs. Deborah K. Morris. Her father served as a Navy Chef in World War II. Grahamโ€™s father was an honorable member of the US Marine Corps (he died of cancer in 2018). Together, Morris and Graham have fathers, sons, brothers, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who have been and do serve in the US Armed Forces.

The concert promoters also aim to raise awareness and support for clean water projects worldwide, where access to safe water is a challenge or just not possible without intervention. charity: water is a nonprofit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries.

    Ra Sha Records Director of Operations, Shenica R. Graham said, โ€œWhile many of us have no idea what it is like to really be thirsty, still about 1,400 children die every day from diseases caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation (according to charity: water). We are donating to charity: water to help provide viable solutions like drilled wells, spring protections, and BioSand filters in communities across the globe.โ€

    Grahamโ€™s support of charity: water is also personalโ€ฆ it has a Kenya division. Grahamโ€™s son is of Kenyan descent. Graham is raising support for water projects in Kenya.

WEST DES MOINES, November 20, 2020โ€”With COVID still on the scene, women and veteran owned label Ra Sha ๐„ž Records (RS๐„žR) is working smart to produce virtual events for Military families separated from deployed troops who are staying connected and entertained via apps such as Skype and Facebook as hosting group events remains a challenge.

With the hub of these family connections hosted online, the local entertainment company is now seeking talented aspiring recording artists to perform concerts that uplift and entertain America’s troops and their families (and everyone else) while bringing them together in a safe Internet space.

RS๐„žR is also in tune with today being African Industrialization Day, launching a major fundraising campaign for Kenya via charity: water. This and a fundraiser for nonprofit org Operation Homefront, will culminate in the online concert mentioned above, which the record label has titled, “Operation Homefront Global Concert.” This event will be streamed LIVE in May of 2021, featuring musicians from several continents around the world. Graham said about this event,

“I wanted to create something they [Veteran family members] and their fellow service members would always recall as a tribute to their devoted service and many sacrifices.”

Virtual auditions are now being held online in a global talent search in plans to have all acts confirmed by mid February 2021 so practices can begin.
